Zealand Sixpence
Can anyone tell me about New Zealand coins from the World War II era?
I was looking through my late father’s WWII coin collection from the South Pacific when he served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-45. I was curious what the purchasing power of these coins might be today, or what they might be worth, if anything. If I showed up in Wellington, what could I buy with them? These are the coins: half crown silver coin; 2 sixpence silver coins. Also, shilling silver coin from Australia. Thanks.
Go to your local library and get the Krause Catalog of World Coins .It contains thousands of foreign coins of the world with their approximate values.Don’t go to a coin dealer because if he wants the coin he will offer you a low price.Caveat Emptor
