Right now I am 15 yrs old and thinking about enlisting in the Marines, what should I do to get ready?
I am 15 yrs old, Starting freshman year in High school, Swim and play baseball and might join football.
Basically, fitness wise, what should I do to get prepared for the Marines, and what should I be prepared for when the time comes.
Stay in shape, do some team athletics in high school. The hard part of recruit training is in your head. If you are in decent physical condition you’ll be ok. What you have to do will only take a few minutes when you finally decide to be a marine. In fact, once you’ve decided you want to be a marine you are home free.
They’re going to give you hell. Don’t take it personal. If you want to be a marine, you keep that goal in mind and ignore the rantings of the DI’s. Listen to them, learn from them; don’t let them get to you. It’s a mental game that will be your biggest challenge. They want to know if you really want to be a marine.
