Won Silver
There is a water tank I won’t be able to clean inside.I know holy water stays clean because of silver/gold ion?
I want to use a silver or gold object in that water reservoir so the water doesn’t develop life forms.I know both silver and gold are antibiotics.
What bothers me is that I’ve seen people polishing the silver utensils as if they develop some surface layer.Will that surface layer diminish the antibiotic properties of the silver?Does the gold have a similar problem?
I know that silver has antibiotic properties, I do not know that about gold. Silver tarnishes, or oxidizes, in air and in water, but I don’t know if that interferes with the antibiotic properties. Gold does not tarnish or oxidize in air or under water.
Have you considered ultraviolet light or chlorine?
