so it is said that swiss guards are loyal to protect the pope.. but i wanna know how did they manage to protect vatican during Hitler’s occupation.
You honestly think the Nazis were interested in that 100 acres known as the Vatican?
They were too busy sending armies into the vastness of the Soviet Union. Who cares about some tiny little land.
Also I should remind you Hitler didn’t invade Italy until like 1943 (when the Axis Italian govt. was overthrown and turned to the allies) and even then the Nazis didn’t get to Rome (I don’t think…).
