Uncirculated Grade

December 5th, 2005 admin

Proof or uncirculated?

If you were buying a coin for a gift, would you get the “proof” coin or the “uncirculated” grade?

Always buy the PROOF coins as gifts.
U.S. coins (ungraded) can be purchased directly from the U.S. Mint.
Website is www.usmint.gov.

If you are buying graded coins then buy coins graded by NGC or PCGS. PF 70 is the highest grade available.

Note: Graded coins are more expensive than ungraded coins.

I am giving 4 NGC graded (2008 Bald Eagle Proof Silver Dollar Coins) as gifts this Christmas.
