Do You Want To Get Involved and Be Somebody?
The new “Information Age” will be a main part of the foundation of the new America. In the Industrial Age, we had massive production sites. Where are they today? This is similar to all the junk you have in your attic and garage. One day you make the decision to rid yourself of all that old stuff. Didn’t the United States do the same? We sold and sent all those old production sites overseas. Yes, it did hurt many, because they lost their livihood. Production is now in the hands of cheap labor and costs in third world countries. There was and is a lot of anguish and disconcert here, but all of it is part of the “dusk” of the “Industrial Age:.
Direct selling, marketing and network marketing are just some of the ingredients of the new building blocks of the foundation for the “Information Age” in the United States.
Take for example, the development of the automobile some 100 years plus ago. There were tinkerers, mechanics, dreamers and inventors who designed and built what soon became known as the “horseless carriage”. Some of them built only one or two of these contraptions., while others managed to to build 10, 20 or more of these buggies and believed success for them was just around the corner. Some started slowly. They studied various products and methods, made small and large improvements and their buggies soon filled the roadways and they became leaders. Does this sound familiar?
This little analogy may sound silly to some. It is suppose to just be an analogy for network marketing. If this is not true, why then do 98% of those who get involved in marketing, quit after a very short time? Why are there so few successful marketers out there? Why? Why?
Could it be that most of the newbies don’t have the staying power of a Henry Ford? He was one of the few who stuck to a simple design and perfected it into what became known as the “Model T” or “Tin Lizzy”. He only built 17 million of the same model. Not bad for the time! He coined many phrases, one of which sticks like Gorilla Glue. He said, “If a customer wants to buy a car from us, he can have it delivered in any color he wants, as long as it is black.
All of this sums up network marketing. Nobody who gets involved will become a millionaire overnight. It will take a lot of sweat, tears, frustration, disappointment, trial and error before success shows its nose. It will take a lot of reading, studying, practice, testing, etc. then and only then will a “nobody” like me, become a “somebody:” in network marketing.
At 72, I might be over the hill, but I am not yet under the hill!
How many of you often say to others, “I have a Liberal Arts degree, a Master’s degree or I am an engineer”, and then say, “do you want fries with your burger?”
Thanks for reading me? I am not there yet. I am like Henry Ford in 1898 in that little garage in Detroit. He had to tear out the wall to get his “horseless buggy” out onto the street.
