How do I use a retail snow leopard dvd to make a hackintosh?
I have a retail disc of snow leopard, a leopard disc that came with my macbook, and an intel pc. Is there some type of package I can download for windows where it will let me install one of them on it or something like that? Or do I nee to download a hacked version of sl? If so could you link that to me?
I’ll put the link to the instructions below, but first some facts about making a hackintosh:
1. It requires access to an existing Mac or hackintosh in order to set up the thumb drive (which you’ll use a special procedure to copy the DVD to) properly.
2. It might not work. If it tries to boot, and doesn’t get past the white screen, then give up. If a driver doesn’t work, then you could spend weeks pulling your hair out trying to get it to work. Give up.
3. Don’t forget that the first time you boot your hackintosh, you need to use the thumb drive to boot it, then install the bootloader. This will make sense when you read the page below.
4. Don’t forget that you WILL get an error at the end of the process. This is normal.
