Silver Swastika

How do I find out/authenticate a piece of nazi era jewelry?
I have a sterling silver ring, with a dull green stone, that has a snake and arrow on each side, with a swastika on each side as well. i have no idea what this is, and it makes me sick that I own it. I want to toss it, but don’t want to throw away something that could be valuable. Any ideas on how to find out what it is?
It may not be a Nazi artifact — the swastika was used decoratively for thousands of years before the Nazis warped it.
Go to your local library and look for books and price guides on jewelry. You may find it’s an American Indian piece — the green stone could be turquoise and they often use silver. The snake and arrow motif are further evidence that this may be a Hopi, Navajo or Zuni piece.
A friend of mine sells Indian artifacts. Check out his webpage and see if he can give you a hand.
