Is there a difference between a gold and silver dental crown besides colour?
My dentist said he’s gonna build my teeth with a crown and gave me the option of gold or silver. Will they be exactly the same material or is there a difference. Would have asked him but didnt think to do at the time.
Silver crowns are not really made of silver but are made from a very hard non-precious metal. You cannot get a better fitting crown than gold so if you have a choice, go with the gold. This is what dentists always choose for their mouths in unaesthetic situations.
