How much is a 100shilling coin from 1975 worth?
I have a 100 austrian shilling coin from the year 1975, made of silver.
“100 Schilling – Osterreich *Republik * 1975″
An old and demented lady gave it to me when I was little..and I was wondering now how much is it worth? Is it worth anything?!
There were three 100 schilling coins made in Austria in 1975, the anniversary of the birth of Strauss, the 20th anniversary of states treaty and the 50th anniversary schilling.
They are not so rare , 2.5 to 3.5 million made of each.
The value is in the silver content. 64% or just under half an ounce of silver in each.therefore about 9 or 10 dollars. An uncirculated one would be maybe a dollar or 2 extra value.
But like all things silver many are getting melted , so they are much harder to get, and if you put it on a world wide scale about 1 for every 2,500 people
