Silver Australian
Is it normal for my australian arowana to be sitting at the bottom of the tank?
my recently purchased jardini sits at the bottom of the tank then swims around and so on.
when i bought it at the fish store it sat around too but i just want to know if its normal beecause its worrying me because thats how my silver arowana died…=(
well anyway he just sits next to the filter suction thingy and it doesnt look to healthy.
plz help meee!!!
Arrowanas are surface dwelling fish and very rarely spend time on the bottom. However, maybe he is just taking in the new surroundings since you just got him. Most fish will seek refuge in deeper water if they feel threatened. Don’t be too freaked out if he isn’t eating at this point because it really just might be that he is adjusting. If he doesn’t come back up and start eating within the next day or two I would be worried. P.S. just remember they eat live fish. Good Luck!!
