Good mid range hotel in Shanghai China near bargain shopping, plus weather now?
I have a 2 day escape in China, Shanghai area around 9-11 September, I would like a recommendation for a mid range not too expensive hotel that will be ok for a single woman traveller who just wants to shop and then shop some more! Oh, and I would like a soft bed too! Also what should I wera/bring for the weather? Thanks!
Maybe you can consider the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel, located in No.595 Jiujiang Road, right in the middle of Shanghai and about a 10 minute walk to the Bund and about 100 meters from Nanjing Road (which makes the walk to the Bund quite entertaining!). Clearly nothing at all like a Howard Johnson’s in the States – although clearly less polished than top five star hotels elsewhere, it was really good.
