There are many different types of chess sets to gather. From the most exclusive and expensive chess sets to the cheaper mass produced ones, you can collect many different kinds of chess sets. However, you can’t easily count out collectors who like to collect wooden sets because wooden sets can be more expensive, especially if they are antiques. But unfortunately, there aren’t too many antique sets around for collection. So if you do get your hands on an antique chess set it would be great. The hobby of collecting is usually a lifelong activity. Not being able to buy all the chess sets you would like makes you value the chess sets that you can get even more.
