Will the british army let me join with a tattoo on my calf?
Im looking to join the british army but i have a tattoo on my leg that consists of a rampant lion and two red roses (for my english and scottish heritage). The tattoo is about 8 inches long.
I have seen people join with tattoos right acroos their lower back and covering the whole of their biceps so i hope my tattoo will be ok.

Yes. They used to have a rule which stopped women with tattoos joining the Womens Royal Army Corps, but years ago in the UK relatively few women had tattoos, and they were normally associated with a criminal lifestyle (this did not apply to men). That rule has been abolished, as times and fashions have changed enormously.
A lot of soldiers have tattoos, especially regimental and sporting tattoos.
