The problems about the russian empire were too deeprooted?
I have to write a short paragraph on that, about 100 words. And i have to link to it the fact that the russians have no common language. How do i do it?

The Russian Empire was spread out over a large chunk of Europe and most of Asia. In different regions of Russia people spoke different languages. It was difficult for the leadership in Moscow to be able to relate, let alone speak, to the people that were on the border to China for example. When a nation has all one culture and all one language it is easy to keep it together, but inevitably, especially in countries like Russia, the interests of one region of people may directly contradict the interests of another, causing unrest and serious difficulties for the people in power.
