Reale Coin
What’s the value of a 1762 2 Reale coin in Uncirculated condition?

Reales are better known as “Pieces of Eight” (8 reales or “8 bits”) – romanticized in pirate lore. These coins were legal tender in the US before we became in independent nation and before we had our own currency system. The Declaration of Independence was written and signed in 1776 – 14 years after this coin was made.

Billy S only gave you one coin it could be but most likely is not. Also only the 8 Reales coin is called a piece of eight. In the legend of your coin will be the mint and sometimes the minter or at least his initials. There is on listed for the mexico city mint O over M mint mark with an M initial. Values are $10 and up and there are none that are in the uncirculated grade level due to the way they were minted. if your coin has a different mint mark then the value maybe higher. Best I can do with out pics of both sides.
