What are some important accomplishments of Queen Elizabeth the First?
i need to make a speech on the importance of Queen Elizabeth the First of England for my history project.so i was wondering what important things, accomplishments, laws, etcc.. did Elizabeth I make during her time of ruling England.
My dear girl, Queen Elizabeth was the first person in history to ride a bicycle as her dear friend, Sir Walter Raleigh invented one especially for her. She was the first person in the world to eat mashed potato as Raleigh brought her back some wonderfully tasty potatoes from the New World and she was also the first person in Europe to smoke a cigarette as Raleigh brought her a box of Benson and Hedges back from America (quite cheap in Duty Free of course).
To show her gratitude for all of this, Queen Elizabeth had him thrown in the slammer and he eventually had his head chopped off.
