will a quarter set off a metal detector?
im traveling and i have some coins in my suitcase, will it set off the metal detector?
You’ll be asked to put your suitcase through a belt, which goes through x-ray screening. The coins will show up on the security computer, but they will not stop you. If they are your pockets however, the screen you walk through may be set off, and you’d have to undergo a more detailed screening.
