What should i pay for a 1989 nissan 240 with a rust whole in frame?
ok, so i went to go look at a nice little silver 1989 240 today, i was very interested, it was only going to cost me about 1200 dollars. Only thing is, is its registered in AB, and i need to get the out of province vehicle inspection done, but it has a rust whole, about 3 inches around in the main part of the frame under the driver side. i dont know what to do, if i pay less for it, will i be able to get it fixed and get it to pass inspection fine. or will it not even matter during the inspection, if somoene could please help me out, i need to figure it out with 2 days

I don’t know about Canada, but in the United States, a rust HOLE in any part of the frame is an automatic failure. Rusted out frames are generally not repairable without extensive work. Unless that car is a car that you just can’t live without and are willing to sink thousands of dollars into, just move on.
