How can you tell if a 1981 mint proof set is type 1 or type 2?
I know it has to do something with a cler or filled mint mark but is that the only deciding factor?
Actually, clear or filled fields on the mint mark have to do with the amount of pressure in the actual striking, and both can occur on either type. The two types have distinct features that differentiate them.
