Poland Danzig
Can you explain this WWI question to me?

As part of the Versailles peace negotiations, Poland insisted on access to the Baltic Sea. Thus, Germany was divided into two parts (marked “Germany” and “E. Prussia” on the map), separated by a narrow neck of land with access to the port of Danzig (now Gdansk) that was granted to Poland. What problems do you see arising from this territorial compromise?

That narrow strip of land was labeled The Danzig Corridor.
Problems:
Germany lacked highway access to East Prussia. Poland broke off negotiations on such access.
There was a minority population of German-speaking citizens within the corridor.
Danzig was primarily a German-speaking city.
Danzig was one of three of the most important ship-building ports in Germany.

Probably the most evident problem was that the creation of The Danzig Corridor ensured that future conflicts would occur between Germany and Poland since that land area had been the site of past conflicts as different nations asserted supremacy.
