Pfenning Coin
Coin worth question! Please help.?

I found this coin at work with the pennies, It’s a 1950 D, 5 Pfenning. I think its German or something. I know nothing about money from other countrys. I was wondering if it was worth anything at all. I couldn’t find anything on the internet about its value.

It is a 5 Pfennig from Germany from the Munich mint. It had a mintage of 271,962,000 and is listed as KM# 102 under Germany. With such a high mintage it is not a scarce coin. One thing about small denomination coins is they are collected in the country that issued them but not usually in other countries. Here is the states a lot of people collect our cents but very few do in Europe. Your coin can be found in a dealers world coin box for .05-.10 cents and he will not pay anything for it. He gets them in large lots he buys and puts them in that box cheap. The coin is however a good start for a one coin of every country collection or a European collection. coin collecting does not have to be an expensive hobby and leaning about countries can be fun.
