Penny World

What do I need to know before organizing a penny drive to help the education of third-world children?
Thanks, your help will be greatly appreciated.
Top Ten Ways to Fundraise for a Penny Drive
1. Organize a penny war at your school, business, or organization.
2. Go to local businesses – restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, etc. – and
ask them to put out a jar. Let them know that you will collect the money and send it to Third World children.
3. If you attend school, carry a Third World children labeled container with you, make announcements in classes, and hang signs to advertise.
4. Do you know anyone working in a business? Encourage them to put
containers on their desk or in the break room to collect change.
5. If you belong to a religious community, make an announcement during
a service or ask if Third World children can be the December charity.
6. Look for loose change around your bedroom, on the dresser, tucked
within the couch and in your car.
7. Organize a Third World Children Day event in your community; ask for donations to attend and incorporate Third World children into your event.
8. Have a dinner party with friends and ask for donations.
9. Ask friends & family to donate $3.65—that’s a penny a day for a year.
10. If your collection is a competition, ask local restaurants if they will
sponsor a pizza or dessert party for the group that collected the most
pennies.

Countdown Timer – Countdown To End Of The World 2012 $12.95 The Mayan calendar ends in December 21, 2012 and at the same time predicted the end of the world. The Native Americans, Egyptians, and the I Ching predicted the same date and year to be the end of the world. The uncanny part of this? All of these civilizations had no contact with each other. All of them predicted the same day and the same year that 2012 would mark the end of the world. Now your c… |

Viva la Vida $7.80 To say there has been a lot of anticipation for Coldplay’s fourth album, Viva La Vida, is an understatement. Having enlisted legendary leftfield producer Brian Eno, borrowed their album title from a painting by renowned Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and made tantalising remarks about sonic reinvention, the world has been curious (to say the least) to hear what the `new’ Coldplay might sound like. Viv… |

When he was at his height, no one could touch him, and the songs collected on Classic Sinatra showcase the range of his talent. Recorded during his memorable run for Capitol… |

Brothers in Arms $5.99 Propelled by Mark Knopfler’s literate songs, gruff vocals, and spidery guitar work, Dire Straits had overcome initial skepticism for their resistance to ’70s new wave accents in favor of a rootsy traditionalism. This 1985 album captures the band consolidating a far more epic style than the concise shuffles and ballads that the original scrappy quartet had reeled off, their ambitions fueled by the … |
