Ore Extremely

How will they make steel when they run out of iron ore?
Or what will replace it?

“Iron ore reserves at present seem quite vast, but some are starting to suggest that the maths of continual exponential increase in consumption can even make this resource seem quite finite. For instance, Lester Brown of the Worldwatch Institute has suggested iron ore could run out within 64 years based on an extremely conservative extrapolation of 2% growth per year.[7]”
Steel will have to be recycled for more limited uses. Steel is mainly iron with a very small amount of carbon and perhaps small amounts of alloying materials such as chrome (for stainless steel). Carbon fibers are now being used where high strength, stiffness and reduced weight are desirable (huge wind turbine blades) and is now being incorporated into the largest new air crafts. Car bodies and other structural parts are likely next.
