Ore Both
In Japan some guys say “Boku wa” and others say “Ore wa” what’s the difference?

both mean “I” but why is that more guys say “ore wa” than “boku wa”?

“Ore” implies more roughness, being more certain about oneself, and – sometimes – a bit of arrogance. When you hear “ore” on anime, it’s usually some tough guy talking.

“Boku” implies more humility, and is used in more everyday situations. When you hear “boku” on anime, it’s usually a little kid, or your regular Average Joe talking. The interesting thing is that “boku” is a bit on the edge between genders, meaning it’s mostly guys who say it, but girls – to sound more masculine – are welcome to use “boku,” as well. But girls could never get away with using “ore.”
