Northern Ireland

If britain broke up completly what would happen to northern ireland and the overseas territories?
Would northern ireland go to the republic? I presume the crown dependencies would by default go under england’s protection as they get grouped in with england, but what about the overseas territories? I doubt a independent scotland would want to look after them unless they found oil in falkland and then the scots would want their share maybe. Would some territories declare independence or join other nations? What are your opinions?
The Eagles – you really are brainless prat, the barnett formula allocated more than the amount of money Oil make to Wales and Northern Ireland.
In answer to your question, usually when a country goes independent, there is either a choice of enrolling a successor state, this state takes of all the responsibilities the union previously took, seeing how the capital of the U.K is London – which is in England, England would probably gain control of all overseas territories by default, regardless of whether or not Scotland and England took them together.
Northern Ireland and other overseas territories could be forced into an independence referendum.
