I’m looking for a dark piece to perform for my acting class.. looking for possibly something from
‘night mother — marsha norman
buried child — sam shepard
other options could be neil labute, david lindsay-abaire, or sarah ruhl.
i know there are copyright laws, but i’m just looking to observe the specific monologue before I go and purchase an entire book.
I’m talking like really dark — maybe involving witchcraft or a young girl with a psychotic breakdown? it has to be 1970s+ and about 1.5 minutes
Isn’t there a suitable monologue from Raisin in the Sun? The one where the daughter tells her mother she doesn’t believe in God is the one I’m thinking of.
