When you buy sterling silver earrings, are the backs made of silver too?
I have a severe nickel allergy, so I have to wear sterling silver earrings. I’ve noticed that it’s normally fine, but when I wear post earrings, the back of my ear lobe starts to get inflamed, so I was just wondering if the backs of them are made of silver too. Thanks!
they should be sterling silver, but I am sure some cheaper earrings might have lower quality backings. You can buy rubber backings or sterling silver backings separately.
