Black Design Associates Builds Plastic Prototypes For One-Sixth The Cost With New ZBuilder Ultra
A full-service item development firm has invested in Z Corporation’s ZBuilder Ultra rapid prototyping machine to save time and money in the design cycle, and deepen client satisfaction.
Black Design Associates, based in Los Angeles, USA, can now create its own ABS-quality plastic prototypes overnight instead of waiting a week or longer for an outside service bureau to quote and deliver a part.
As well as creating prototypes quicker, we’re spending one-sixth the amount of cash we used to on them, announced Simon Saito Nielsen, design engineer for Black Design.
The ZBuilder Ultra’s plastic parts have all the detail, material properties, accuracy, surface finish of injection-molded parts, which covers most of our prototyping needs nicely.
With just 60 minutes of tutoring, I was making prototypes and demonstrating them to customers, who have been amazed to see them so fast.
