It was even said that some sort of a curse has been put in the team. Many believed that the Angels baseball stadium was under a curse because it was built on an ancient Indian burial ground. Walt Disney was brave enough to take control of Angels in the middle of a difficult period for the team. Up until then, they were sharing the ownership with a few other companies but with Disney’s involvement, The Angels baseball team had to be renamed as Anaheim Angels. With all the disappointments and thumbs downs by their fans The Angels moved on with the energy powered by Disney. 2002 registered as the year won their first world title. The name was again changed to Los Angeles Angels after Angels baseball took over the ownership from Disney.
