New Fish Help thanks?
I have just bought 2 silver shark and 3 tetra to join my 4 blue neon tetra in my fairly new tank.Few questions-
1.When to start feeding them.
2.Why are they eating my plants but not flakes(they were put in like 2 and a half hours ago)
3.Why are there bubbles on my newly installed heater.
4.i have a 21.5 lire tank by the way.
5.Put the correct number next to the answer
(eg. put number 2 if you answer 2)
1. You can start feeding straight away BUT if your tank is uncycled you should only feed every other day. As the tank cycles you’re likely to lose your fish.
2. Which fish are eating the plants? The silver sharks may well do that naturally.
3. Nothing to worry about and should disappear as the fish matures over the next week.
4. That means your tank is WAY too small for Silver Sharks, presuming you mean Balantiocheilos melanopterus, they get over 30cm long and need a MINIMUM of a 350 litre tank!! This is a group of 7 in a 1,400 litre tank:
