How do I cover a darker shade of green acrylic paint with a lighter shade?
I am painting a turtle and used hunter green for the head, legs and tail, but it’s so dark that I can’t see my black outlines. I want to cover it with jubilee green which is a better choice. Do I paint the hunter green with white first or do I just keep adding layers of jubilee green?
Don’t keep adding layers. If you put too many layers of acrylic on top of each other then it will start to crack and peel off the canvas. You can paint over it with a base coat of white, or just paint on a thick layer of the jubilee green (don’t add any water to the paint).
