Life is very much what you make it, even those of us with the most active imaginations can somehow become stuck in a rut, like a car with the wheels spinning in mud, getting tired and going nowhere. This idea of the natural order has long been abused throughout history. From some viewpoints it is a peculiarly European peculiarity, of course other civilizations have attempted to seek an order within the universe, it is only in the European view that this figure has become. Internal strife in China had opened up a window of opportunity for a host of westerners and mens wedding bands to scramble for pieces of the nascent shipping trade. With such riches opening up one of the city’s guild created structured money lending and created the modern merchant bank.
This would spark a revolution that would spread across the world. Although mostly for financing ships, this money lending was also a popular way to pay for holidays The reason that this was such an important moment in history is that for the first time it created theoretical money based on speculation. Such was the confidence of the Tuscans in their ability, that they would spend money from the future.
Up until this point all money had an actual physical value, gold coins would contain an amount of gold worth their value in the same way. But this invention of credit required a new way to represent this speculative money. This is where banknotes came from, the first ever banknotes came from 15th century banknotes.
These ideas were developed as hypotheses about the nature of the data that we are seeing in DNA. In much the same way that priests attempt to interpret the word of God, scientists and thinkers will attempt to interpret science. But it is up to us to remember that this is always their interpretation, not the truth, which may not even exist.
