i.e – halfpenny = half a penny.
and guineas, shillings, crowns..etc. all that you know. thanks

Three penny piece (Threepenny bit)
Sixpenny piece
a shilling worth twelve pennies
Half a crown worth 2 shillings and six pence.
Crown….worth five shillings.
A guinea….worth one pound and one shilling
One pound was worth 240 pennies.
