How do you kill a tree?
this basically is next doors tree, its an absolutely huge christmas tree which has lifted up their garden path, but they dont seem to care, we dont speak to them as one of them is a theif and would prob so no, its only slightly hanging over my garden but its blocking every bit of sunlight, i can dig from my end of the garden to to root but i dont know what to do with it?? copper nails take to long 
Cut as much of the root off as you can. If you can get to the tree without being seen use a battery drill and a fine bit and drill 40-50 holes in a line round the tree near to the ground go right in as far as you can.
