Holey Dollar

no money…at all??? i want die? is this selfish?
Back to school is this tuesday and i have no new clothes. i know that seems shallow but its really hard when everyone else at your school buys a whole new tna or lululemon wardrobe every year. i don’t wanna go back to school wearing the same, now worn and a little but holey, t-shirts and tight jeans ![]()
we don’t have ANY money – we’re in overdraft.
we can’t even afford goodwill.
i don’t wanna go to school looking exactly like i did last year. my shirts are plain and really thin from so much washing, my jeans are snug, i dont have many sweaters,i only have 1 or 2 pairs of shoes.
what do i do?
i just want to cry. this isn’t fair! i can’t afford a couple new shirts and pants but everyone else can buy 1000′s of dollars of pants every year. i just wanted maybe 3-5 new shirts, 1-2 new jeans, a sweater, and maybe even a pair of shoes.
thats ALL i want
but i cant even have that.
Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, focus on what you do have. You have your health, your family, your whole life ahead of you and more.
Sounds as though now would be a good time in looking into getting a part time job to help out and start buying your own clothes or even helping ease your family’s financial problems. If you’re 15 or older (check with your state requirements – you may need a permit), try fast food restaurants, retail, etc. If you’re younger then babysitting, paper routes, or yardwork for your neighbors can be a way to earn a bit of money. Nothing is more rewarding than becoming self-sufficient and being able to provide for yourself – even if it’s just a bit like looking after earning money to buy your own clothing.
