High Denomination
How important should denomination affiliation be in my college search?
I’m beginning to look at colleges, and I plan to major in biblical studies. I was raised in the PCA church, so should I be looking at primarily PCA colleges? I wouldn’t really care if I was majoring in engineering or something like that, but since I plan on majoring in biblical studies, my initial thought is that their theological standpoints should be a high priority in my considerations of colleges. Is that true? Or can I look at other colleges such as (methodist, baptist, nondenominational, etc…)?
It depends are you planning on becoming a pastor, if so then you may want to find out if there are any schools that are not approved by you denomination. For instance I am getting a masters in theology and as a Methodist I can go to a Mennonite School but not Liberty, which is a Baptist School. Best thing to do is talk to a pastor.
