Why are liberal democratic politicians against the ground zero mosque ?

Senate Majority leader Harry reid and former DNC Chairmen Howard Dean are both against the ground zero mosque.
Why is that ?
Because after Obama took the side of the Muslims, the others saw how unpo[ular that was. They are covering their butts now and trying to get votes.
