Let the amount of 100% gold to be added be x gms.

x + 0.35 *80 = ( x +80) *0.90

x + 28 = 0.90x + 72

0.10x = 44

x = 44 /0.10 = 440 grams ANSWER

CHECK

100/100 X 440 + 35/100 X 80 = 440 + 28 = 468

468 / 440 + 80 = 468 /520 X 100 = 90%
