There are sure lots of magnificent and grandiose Catholic churches all over the world, but not all can be enough to measure up to the grandeur of the Temple Expiatory de la Sagrada Familia which can be found in Barcelona, Catalonia. The church was built with the intention to be one of the greatest sanctuaries of Christendom, if not the greatest in terms of size and attention to details. Gaudi is world-famous for his brilliant Modernist Art designs that are, absolutely, distinctive in terms of appearance; the de la Sagrada Familia itself is indeed a masterpiece for the many details and complex designs that Gaudi had worked into the plan.
The de la Sagrada Familia church’s construction started sometime in 1882, but the over all plan is so intricate and difficult that the construction is still undergoing and it is predictably reaching accomplishment by 2026. You’ll be astonishedthat the church is still under construction up to this day, while the construction started back in 1882; that is how complex and detailed the design is and it’s not something that can be finished in a few years. The museum holds artifacts dated from hundreds of years Before Christ, stemming from different countries and civilizations.
There are a few other marvellous creations in Spain, one of which is the Museo del Prado which is one of the most visited structures in Europe because of the numerous quantity of impressive artworks done by many experienced and talented painters. They kept all artifacts in the Museum of Wine Culture and opened it for the benefit of the public as one of the most extensive collections on wine culture. Amazingly, the artifacts they have collected is an evidence that many centuries Before Christ, wine making had already been a known occurence for a lot of cultures; artifacts from the Roman, Greek, and Egyptian civilizations will show how the wine culture has evolved over the centuries, as it was passed on to different civilizations.
These are simply quite a few of the great museums and enthralling establishments that can be seen in Spain, and only a few spots that has caused Spain to be known as a place of culture and arts. There are plenty to be seen and visited and all of them will make your stay in Spain worth your while.
