What Is A Caribbean Safari?

We have all heard of a safari in Africa, but have any of us heard of the Caribbean safaris? When you consider what the Caribbean is known for on holiday, it certainly isn’t safaris. Because these islands are considered relaxation or party islands,nobody every really takes the time to think about what is actually on them.

Although you won’t be finding lions or many larger animals on one of these safaris there are many different and diverse animals living here. Across the islands there are a massive amount of bird species. Canada may be massive, but there are more species on tiny Trinidad. Frigate birds, Humming birds and various parrot species are among the fauna you can find over here.

Now large animals are some what limited on the land but there is not short fall of large animals in the ocean. If you want you can also embark on the water safari, this means you can hop on a boat and parade around the oceans. Dolphins and Whales your thing, then you can be in for a real treat when you head out diving. The great thing about the Caribbean, is that you probably are not going to encounter all that many dangerous predators, in fact there are practically none. You do need to watch out and be relatively careful as far as some of the animals are concerned, especially when one of them if the Alligator.

The guides themselves have so much general knowledge about the area, it is important to remember this. You can tap into their knowledge about your surroundings and the wildlife you may encounter.
