Fish Unc
Would I be able to get into NYU, UCS, UNC or Berkeley if I have all of the below?
I have:
*Been in marching band for 4 years
* Made top wind ensemble for 3 years
*Played oboe in concert band and flute in marching band
*Was section leader for one year
*Took all pre-ap classes
*NCL (National Charity League) for almost five years (it is a strong league between mothers and daughters where we do charity work)
*In the top 10 % of my class
*Worked Mobile Loaves and Fishes since 5th grade
*Vice President of my class
*Spanish Honor Society for 3 years
*Newspaper for 2 years and was Assistant Co-Editor
*Broadcast for 2 years
*Placed in Regional Science fair and won 4th place, the Superintendent Award, and Climate Protection Award
*Took Spanish 4
*Have about a 4.0 GPA
If your 4.0 is unweighted, you should be absolutely fine at any of these schools. If it is weighted, then you need to get your unweighted to about a 3.5 for NYU, and a 3.7 for UNC/Berkeley. You should also take at least 2-3 AP courses by senior year for the latter two. I have no experience with UCS.
Your SAT is also important, as is being in-state for Berkeley and UNC. If you have a 2100+, you should be good for all of these schools.
