What is the value of an 1812 8 Reale Spanish Coin (HJ mint)?

I have a coin I found in my house and I can’t seem to find it anywhere online. It’s an 8 Reale spanish coin with the draped bust fernando vii figure on it. The front of the coin says “DEI GRATIA 1812 FERDIN VII”. The back says “Hispan et ind Rex M(with a little circle over it) 8R HJ.” Does anybody know the value of this coin? I don’t know what the grade would be, but I think it’s in decent condition.

No one here could tell you. Condition is extremely important in pricing, and “decent” doesn’t mean anything. You could take it to a coin shop and ask for an appraisal. Assuming that it’s real, it should have at least $25 worth of silver in it. The HJ isn’t a mint mark. You’re describing a pillar dollar with a Mexico mint mark.
