Dutch Guilders

Interesting stuff about new york state?
Okay, i’m doing a project about new york state, and i need a little help with some interesting stuff, most people know about the CITY and not the state, and most info is about the city.
i know new york (the state) was the capital of usa at one time? and the capital is albany, and that a man bought manhattan island for stuff worth 60 dutch guilders so i need help,
<_< Thank's for recognising my error.
No, New York State was not the capital of the U.S., because it’s a state. Obviously, only a city could be the capital city! It’s New York City that was the capital of the U.S. at one time, from 1785 until 1790, the first part of that under the Articles of Confederation and the last year of the period under the current Constitution.
Anyway, to find general information about the state, you might want to look by different regions, which would avoid what’s happening now when you are finding New York City info while searching. Search instead for terms like these:
Adirondacks
Catskills
Finger Lakes
Thousand Islands
Niagara Frontier
Capital District New York
There’s a lot of variety in New York; those are some very distinct areas in some cases hundreds of miles apart. Wikipedia also has a series of extensive articles about the state, so this might get you started:
