Is the comma in EUR currency the same as the decimal in USD currency?
I’m trying to convert 15,95 EUR into USD before I place an online order, but most of the online calculators are dropping the comma and saying its around 2000 USD. I think this conversion is incorrect and should be more along the lines of 20.00 USD. Am I right?
Yes, you’re right. In Europe, the comma is used to separate euros from cents, i.e. 20,00 is 20 euros and not 2000 euros… Likewise, if you write big numbers, you might want to write 20.000,00 which would be 20 000 euros (or 20,000 as you’d write it in the US). Hope this was of some help!
