Commemorate Coin
Does anyone have any information on a gold Elizabeth II crown from 1953?

I have had this coin in my collection for a long time now and I am sick of wondering what it actually is as I can find little information about it on the internet. I managed to find images of the obverse and reverse of the coin on this web-page:

Scroll down near to the bottom until you see a large gold 1953 coin commemorating the coronation. This is the only place where I can find any confirmation that this coin actually exists on the internet. The one I have is not in brilliant condition, it has a few bumps and scrapes and it’s a bit dirty with finger-prints but it’s still in a fine to very fine condition.

Thank you.

Well, it’s not the crown or the £5 gold coin issued in 1953–the design on both sides is totally different.

You’ve probably got a token or medal of some sort. Probably your best bet is to go to http://coinpeople.com, and look in the “exonumia” section. If you can’t find any reference to what you’ve got, you’ll probably have better luck asking over there.
