Positive FOBT test…?
I’m 27 and recently had a positive FOBT test…No symptoms other than occasional – sporadically for a few months – red steaks on toliet paper…Nothing visible in stool…Maybe slight itching of the anus, but thats a “maybe” and absolutely nothing else…I’m scared but have a followup with a specialist soon…What is the most likely diagnosis ? I’m otherwise healthy…Have 2 relative with colon issues, but the doctor said this wouldn’t be necessarily considered “hereditary” since they were in their 60s/70s and at that age its almost like a flip of a coin (approaching 50% chance of polyps)…
It’s probably hemorrhoids.
