Animals in FarmVille

In Farmville there are two basic types of animals: Livestock (which you can obtain at the Market for coins or Farmville cash) and Lost Animals (which will show up on your farm from time to time).  Animal crops don’t rot like plant crops which is just one advantage of animals.  Animals will patiently wait for you to log in once more and harvest it.  They’re a uncomplicated, simple to handle way of getting money and enjoying some variety on your farm.

Livestock

The livestock you can currently acquire at the Market are pretty limited.  The livestock which you can purchase at the Market are dairy cows, white (regular) sheep and pigs.  New animals appear for a limited time on special occasions and holidays. During the “Alien Invasion”, green cows named BOV1NE-09 (now titled Alien Cow) showed up in the Market for 2400 coins.   A crop named “milktonium” which sells for 18 coins can be harvested from the green cows. American Thanksgiving brought about the launch of the “Baby Turkey”- when harvested for the first time, it will change into adult Turkey.   The grown Turkey can then be harvested for feathers once every 2 days at 80 coins per harvest.  You can obtain additional fascinating livestock as free gifts from your friends, while the old standbys are available there as well.

You can see that the animals do not have identical harvest times.  Several animals may be harvested once a day, others need 3 or even 4 days to “ripen”.

Lost Animals

You need to watch your friends’ status updates to see if they have come across any “lost animals”.  These lost animals will periodically appear on your farm and request your help.   The introduction of Wild Turkey is an example. To celebrate American Thanksgiving, the creators of Farmville released it as a new “lost animal”.

The Wild Turkey will appear on your farm with the following caption:

(Your name) discovered this frightened bird in Farmville. This time of year is tough for her and her kind. Hopefully she can find comfort and safety on a friendly farm. ..

The other “lost animals” in Farmville are:

*Ugly Duckling (becomes a swan)

*Brown Cow (produces chocolate milk)

*Pink Cow (gives strawberry milk )

*Black Cat (produces yarn)

*Turtle (makes eggs)

*Black Sheep (gives chocolate wool)

*Regular cows also wander but they are obtainable through the Market and free items

These lost animals cannot be adopted by you.  You can only help them by putting them up for adoption.  If you have more than one Facebook account, this is the ideal instance to use it!

Log out from your account and afterwards put your lost animal up for adoption.  Log in on your other account and instantly adopt the lost animal otherwise your friends might adopt it before you do!   Regularly read your friends’ status updates so that you can adopt their lost animal.

If you’re acquiring plenty of cows and/or chickens, consider buying a Dairy Barn or a Chicken Coop.

Each building accommodates 20 cows or chickens and provides a suitable means to keep them, and harvesting them all at once.

You can get a Mystery Egg when you buy a Chicken Coop.  Check out Farmville Buildings to learn more.
