Hi i have this coin with Ludwig II and koenig v baryn on the front and Ruck on the back of it.?
Hi i have this coin with Ludwig II and koenig v baryn on the front and Ruck on the back of it. I have done extensive research on this item to no avail. My mother found it in the 50′s gardening in california. If you have any information about this item it would be greatly appreciated.I do have pictures available

“Ludwig II Koenig v Bayern” means “Ludwig II, king of Bavaria.” Ludwig II was king of Bavaria (one of the German states) from 1845 until 1886. It is possible Ruck is actually Mark which is a common German coin denomination. Photos or more details would be very helpful as there are many coins and medallions which would be similar to your description. You could try taking it to a local coin expert for an evaluation.
