How many women had success with the Chinese lunar birth calendar?
I was just wondering how many women out there tried for a particular sex using the Chinese lunar birth calendar or books and got the sex they desired. Also tips on how to concieve a girl if you have any ! Please dont say “You shouldnt care as long as its healthy” yah no kidding, but why not try and get the sex you desire and have a healthy baby, sounds good to me.
I have had four babies. Obsessing about their gender before they were born was pretty much a full-time job for me. I HATED when people would give me the “as long as it’s healthy” crap. Duh. I don’t care what any woman says; with every pregnancy, there is a gender that is preferred a bit over the other. You are not the devil if you prefer a daughter over a son. Of course you’d love a son too..nothing wrong with wishing for a daughter though. With all of my pregnancies, I tried the Chinese Lunar Birth Calendar to see what I was having (I was already pregnant by the time I tried these). There are a couple of problems with using this as a gender selection method or gender prediction method. First of all, it’s very difficult to find a calendar online that is accurate. They all can vary significantly. Second, a lot of people forget that these calendars go by the the Chinese calendar, meaning you will need to know your LUNAR age during conception as well as the lunar month. But it doesn’t really matter anyway. Every pregnancy, the calendar has been wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. And, DO NOT pay money to get your baby’s gender revealed via any specialty websites promising the “most accurate” results. My husband did this for me twice for fun, and both times they were wrong! (and the “money back” promise was big pile of lies course).
As for conceiving a girl….Do you ever notice that couples who weren’t “trying” to have a baby tend to have girls more often? I have done a lot of research (mainly, books written exclusively on the subject of gender selection), as well as many discussions with many moms on the subject (most moms you will find area also obsessed with gender…the ones that actually admit it anyway). The first thing you need to get a good handle is your cycle. If you have the time, start keeping track of how many days your cycle is, and which day you ovulate. Ovulation kits work out well for this. But even better is keeping a chart of your temps each day…taking your temp each morning even before you sit up, then record it. This will pinpoint your ovulation day, and you will need to know this before you try the following method. After your period ends, have sex with your partner often. Have sex as much as you can but STOP four days before you know your body is going to ovulate. xx sperm live longer then the xy sperm. The idea here is that by the time you ovulate, the sperm inside will have been there waiting for at least four days…likely the only surviving ones will be the xx’s. Some women find that stopping four days out is too far away from ovulation, and the sperm do not survive that long. In this case, try three days, then two at the very least. The closer to ovulation a man ejaculates inside of you, the more likely you will have a boy.
A lot of couples who didn’t think they could get pregnant because she was too far away from ovulation..yet end up getting pregnant….often have girls because the sperm lives long enough inside to fertilize the egg. And usually it’s the xx’s that are still alive to fertilize that egg. As for me, I have had four SONS. Three conceptions have been traced to sex on the exact day I ovulated. One was a surprise conception during a time I was breastfeeding another child; I hadn’t even started my period yet but still got pregnant with son #4.
